Ireland’s largest mattress manufacturer to join Walmart’s Walmart acquisition

The Irish mattress manufacturer CotMattress will be joining Walmart’s $1.2 billion buyout of mattress maker Bed Bath & Beyond.

The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.

CotMatt, which has been based in Dublin since 2011, will focus on selling mattress covers, bedding, and mattresses for home and office.

It will be the first mattress company to enter Walmart’s home goods arm, the company said.

The move comes as Walmart is looking to broaden its home goods offerings in the wake of its acquisition of rival Target earlier this year.

The company said it would focus on its products that are “most commonly used in households and that have the highest quality of comfort and value.”

The company has more than $1 billion in annual sales.

The Irish mattress maker, which was founded in 2013, said in a statement it was delighted to be joining Walmart.

“We’re excited to be part of the new Walmart family, which will bring our vast expertise and experience to the brand’s home and workplace markets, and we look forward to working with our customers to help make this brand better,” Cot Mattress CEO John O’Connell said in the statement.
